Sword robbers in bookmaker’s raid

Another story from the BBC:

Robbers armed with a samurai sword threatened staff at a bookmaker’s shop in Oxford and stole hundreds of pounds.

The two men wore balaclavas and hoods when they walked into Ladbrokes on Rose Hill in Iffley on Monday evening.

One guarded the door while the other jumped over the counter and emptied the till. No-one was harmed.

A spokesman for Ladbrokes said: "It was a pretty gruesome event. We are working closely with the police to get images from anyone who was there."
