A deadly toxin thought to contain ricin has been discovered at a motel in Las Vegas, police say.
A man had brought the substance to the manager of the Extended Stay America Motel saying he had found it in his room, according to authorities.
They do not believe that the incident is related to terrorism.
Three motel employees and one other person - all said to be in good condition - were quarantined and decontaminated, then taken to hospital.

A "particularly mean" housing chief has been jailed for nine months for stealing £100,000 from vulnerable tenants to feed her gambling addiction.

As many as 40,000 people who used a Las Vegas clinic are being urged to be tested for HIV and the blood-borne hepatitis C virus, US officials say.
Anyone who received anaesthesia injections from the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada from March 2004 to January 2008 should be tested.
The warning came after an investigation found the centre had been responsible for "unsafe injection practices".
Hepatitis C can cause fatal liver problems and is very hard to treat.

Another story from the BBC:
Manchester was chosen last year as the surprise location of the UK’s first "super-casino". The government has now decided to axe the plan.
Why the change of heart?
Culture Secretary Andy Burnham said there was "no consensus" that a regional - or super - casino was needed to boost regeneration in east Manchester. He cited problem gambling as a worry, while another government report suggested setting up alternative projects such as museums, theatres, a shopping centre or sports arena.
Was the U-turn a surprise?

Manchester’s leaders have expressed concern at the decision to scrap plans for a super-casino in the city.
The city won the bid to develop a Las Vegas-style casino in east Manchester 13 months ago but the plan has been scrapped following a government review.
City council leader Sir Richard Leese said he was "disappointed", while Simon Ashley, council Lib Dem leader, said Gordon Brown had "sold Manchester out".
A ministerial group is to help create a regeneration package as compensation.
