Another story from the BBC:
Thousands of betting shops in England, Scotland and Wales will be opening for the first time on a Good Friday.
The move follows last year’s Gambling Act which allows bookies to trade every day except for Christmas Day.
At least 4,000 bookmakers’ shops will be open, including almost all of Ladbrokes’ and Coral’s branches and about 10% of William Hill’s.
However, some Christian groups have expressed their disappointment and are asking people not to bet.

Detectives have released more details of an armed robbery attempt on a Surrey bookmaker’s which they say was "extremely distressing" for the staff.
Two men threatened customers and the staff of Ladbrokes in The Broadway, Thames Ditton, with a handgun and told them to lie on the ground.
They fled without getting any cash when a staff member pushed the panic button.
The raid, on 13 March, is being linked to a robbery at Ladbrokes in Falkland Road, Dorking, later the same day.
