Ex-Met officer jailed for robbery

Another story from the BBC:

A former Metropolitan Police officer has been jailed for 42 months for robbing a betting shop in east London.

Gary Griffiths, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery at Ladbroke Bookmakers in North Road, Ilford, and possessing a firearm.

Griffiths, 39, was jailed in December by Basildon Crown Court but the case could not be reported until a trial of his co-defendant Bradley Donovan ended.

Donovan, 26, also pleaded guilty to one charge of robbery at the bookmakers.
