A 37-year-old gambler who denied manslaughter after a betting shop manager died following a row has admitted attacking him.
Jeffrey Hilland, 52, of South Moor, Stanley, Co Durham, who managed Pagebet betting shop in Front Street, Pelton, died of a heart attack on 6 June.
Trevor Hall, of Hilda Terrace, Chester-le-Street, denied his manslaughter at Newcastle Crown Court in October.
On Monday he admitted affray, which was accepted by the court.

A wheelchair-bound gambling addict who absconded to Spain before he could be sentenced for financial offences was turned in to police by his wife.
Stroke victim David Hubbard-Beale, who admitted offences in 2003, was given a suspended jail term at Hove Crown Court on Thursday because of ill-health.
The 55-year-old returned to the UK in July with his wife, Pamela, but she abandoned him at Gatwick Airport.
Hubbard-Beale, formerly of Eastbourne, has since lived in a nursing home.

Macau’s Chief Executive Edmund Ho has offered a raft of measures to help residents and small businesses in his annual policy address.
He said the territory, which has autonomy under Chinese rule, would survive the gambling industry’s woes.
One of Macau’s biggest investors, Las Vegas Sands, has revealed problems in debt-servicing and a halt to projects.
Gambling, Macau’s main revenue source, has faltered since China restricted visas for mainland gamblers.

A gambling addict from Wearside has been jailed for two years after admitting firearms and drugs charges.
An antique pistol was found when police raided the Houghton-le-Spring home of Graham Calvert. He also had a shotgun without a certificate.
His barrister said they were to protect him from creditors who would use "unorthodox" methods to get cash back.
The 29-year-old greyhound trainer is appealing against a ruling that William Hill was not liable for his £2m losses.

A compulsive gambler has gone to the Court of Appeal in the latest round of his battle to force bookmaker William Hill to repay his £2m losses.
Greyhound trainer Graham Calvert, 28, of Houghton-le-Spring, near Sunderland told the High Court in February the company failed in its "duty of care".
The judge agreed, but ruled William Hill was not liable for the losses.
Mr Calvert’s QC said on Thursday that, on the facts found by the High Court judge, his client should have won.

A long-serving footballer in the West Midlands has admitted having a 16-year gambling addiction which led to him recently considering suicide.
Darren Wrack, 32, who was released by Walsall in May after 10 seasons at the club, said he had gambled away at least £500,000 over the years.
The player is being treated by the Sporting Chance Clinic in Hampshire.
Wrack said he was at "the bottom of the barrel" when he contemplated taking his life several weeks ago.
