Betting firm Ladbrokes says profits have fallen this year as its customers got lucky in March.
Ladbrokes said that group profit for the four months to the end of April, declined 34%.
It said that March proved to be "highly profitable" for its customers, particularly those who attended the Cheltenham festival.
But it said it benefitted from the Grand National, when outsider Mon Mome won the race at odds of 100-1.

A Devon man who won more than £300,000 with a £2 flutter, says he plans to upgrade his wife’s K-reg Metro car.
Tony Wonnacott, 44, from Teignmouth, scooped £310,000 after correctly selecting the winners of six races.
He placed his £2 Scoop 6 bet at Ladbrokes in Teignmouth before going off to watch Exeter City play Morecambe as they pushed for promotion.
"I’ve been shellshocked since I found out last night - I hardly slept a wink," Mr Wonnacott told BBC News.

A £10,000 reward is being offered for information which leads to the conviction of the man responsible for an armed robbery in West Sussex.
The suspect, armed with a hand gun, threatened staff at the Ladbrokes betting shop in Broadwater Street, Worthing, at 2130 BST on 15 April.
The man, who was described as white, fled with a large amount of cash.
Police said he was wearing a black balaclava, a black hooded top, a black zip-up leather jacket and dark jeans.

A robber who snatched cash from a bookmaker’s was hit over the head with a stool by a member of staff.
He had walked into a sectioned-off staff area of Ladbrokes, in Tattenham Way, Tadworth, on Friday evening, demanding money from the two employees.
Surrey Police said he fled on foot down an alley towards Waterer Gardens after being struck with the stool.
No force was used by the robber, who was described as wearing dark clothing, a balaclava, and gloves.

Police are investigating after a betting shop in Perth was robbed by a man wearing a black balaclava to hide his face.
The culprit targeted the Ladbrokes in Leonard Street at about 2240 GMT on Thursday.
It is thought two staff members and one customer were inside the premises at the time, although no-one was injured.
The thief, who was wearing jeans and a blue and white striped top, made off with a four-figure sum of money.

Bookmaker Ladbrokes has seen its annual profits edge up, despite the wider economic slowdown.
Operating profits for the group reached £243.8m in the twelve months to 31 December 2008 - an increase of 0.9% on the previous year.
The firm’s chief executive Christopher Bell said a rise in internet gaming had contributed to the company’s success.
The results were slightly ahead of market forecasts, sending shares in the firm up 5.7% in early afternoon trade.

A man armed with a small black handgun stole about £3,000 in cash when he robbed a betting shop in West Sussex.
Police said he walked into Ladbrokes on Limbrick Corner, Palatine Road, Worthing, on Monday night, producing the weapon and demanding money.
No-one was injured in the robbery, but officers said staff were left shaken.
The man was described as white, aged 25 to 30, and of a medium build. He wore a balaclava and a dark hooded top with a "stone island badge" on the sleeve.
